Adam Brand grew up in Brooklyn, New York, and attended college at the University of Rochester where he studied Financial Economics. After moving to Washington DC, he started working as a Business Analyst at a federal consulting firm, during which he also completed his Master’s in Business Analytics at Georgetown University.

Upon completing his Master’s, Adam realized his true passion in psychology and switched his career. Since then, he has accumulated experience providing holistic care through assessment and therapy to individuals contending with a broad range of issues, including PTSD, depression, anxiety, OCD, ADHD, and Autism.

Adam previously provided resources and support as a teen and young adult specialist on the national NAMI Help Line. He loves working with people of all ages, backgrounds, and identities, and looks forward to helping you improve your life and situation, whatever that may be.

Why Adam Became a Therapist

I became a therapist because I realized my true passion was in psychology, which caused me to switch careers from business. I became a therapist because I genuinely am interested in how the mind works, and how we can use those insights to live lives that we find fulfilling, engaging, and worthwhile.

How Adam Lives Authentically

I try to experience my feelings and not let the fear of what has been, what could be, or what I may feel, stop me from pursuing my goals. At the same time, I recognize that progress is not linear and I make an effort to be kind to myself in tough moments.
