Ally Maas specializes in working with children, adolescents, and young adults in individual or family therapy. She is a versatile clinician utilizing multiple therapeutic modalities, including psychodynamic, humanistic, family, and client-centered play therapy. Her clinical interests and experience include working with defiant/oppositional behaviors in children, anxiety, depression, parent training/management, specific phobias, trauma, stress, and executive functioning difficulties.
Ally’s clinical background and training include working as a school psychologist in Washington, DC, providing home-based therapy for kids/teens and families, and working with juveniles in correctional settings. Additionally, she has extensive experience working in a private practice setting, supporting clients with a wide variety of challenges and diagnoses, and serving many diverse populations.
Ally’s specialty is providing a safe, collaborative, and interactive environment to tackle complex trauma, maladaptive behaviors, and emotional distress. She focuses on helping individuals gain a deeper understanding of themselves and improve their mental well-being by connecting their past experiences to patterns in their current behaviors or within their relationships.
Ally’s goal as a clinician is to work collaboratively with clients to develop healthy and realistic coping skills that manage symptoms and improve their daily functioning.

I have a passion for working with people and wanted to dedicate my career to helping others. Also, I have a deep interest in human emotions, behavior, trauma, and mental health difficulties.
