Experience

Calia Lee is a current Clinical Psy.D student at The Chicago School in Washington, D.C. and graduated from St. John’s University in December 2023 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. Calia has experience working with children and adolescents as a behavioral technician in Arlington, Virginia.

Why Calia Became a Therapist

I love working with others and learning from them. During my time as a behavioral technician, I realized how often, in our fast-paced world, people go unseen and unheard. That experience taught me the value of slowing down and truly listening. I am becoming a therapist because I want to create space for others to feel seen, heard, and supported.

How Calia Lives Authentically

I prioritize both my physical and mental health. By ensuring my own needs are met, I’m able to show up fully and authentically in all spaces to support those around me.

Slowing down and focusing on gratitude helps me stay centered and emotionally connected to myself and others.
