Cassandra Esquibel is currently a Masters student at Grand Canyon University, studying clinical mental health counseling. Prior to joining Mirror Mental Health, Cassandra was an intern at a psychotherapy practice that specialized in trauma. During that time, she co-facilitated group sessions for individuals struggling with both mental and physical health. These groups utilized Dialectical behavior Therapy (DBT) techniques, teaching clients mindfulness practices as well as healthy coping mechanisms.
Why Cassandra Became a Therapist
I became a therapist to help empower people unlock the potential they already have within them to be the best version of themselves, overcome challenging circumstances, and live in a way that honors their values.
How Cassandra Lives Authentically
I live authentically by challenging myself to stay true to myself and own up to when I am wrong or make mistakes. I do things that make me happy, like spending time with my family, exercising, trying new food, or exploring. I also practice giving myself and others grace by reminding myself that no one is perfect and to accept everyone as they are, including myself.
