Jacky Cohen has been an extern at Mirror Mental Health since June 2021. She is currently a doctoral student in the Clinical Psychology program at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology where she has earned a Master of Arts. Prior to changing careers, she worked extensively with adolescents and young adults with disabilities both for speech and language therapy as well as counseling. As a therapist, Jacky is particularly interested in providing support to adults who experience depression, anxiety, trauma, sexual orientation and gender identity related challenges, grief and loss, and medical or pain related issues. Currently, she is providing individual and couple’s therapy sessions.
Why Jacky Became a Therapist
Jacky strives to create a “judgement-free zone” where individuals have space to explore their passions, goals, and barriers that may be creating obstacles. She provides empathy and warmth as she holds space for everyone at all different stages of life.
